Northeast Maritime Institute Now Offering 100% Online Radar Observer Course
Northeast Maritime Online (NEMO°) is now offering the FIRST Online STCW approved Radar Observer (Unlimited) course! This course utilizes NEMO°’s fully functioning HALO° Radar Training Simulator and HALO° Exam Monitoring System. Students complete all of their practical assessments and exams online, eliminating the need for travel, housing, and meals – more importantly, saving preciously earned vacation time with their families. This course is approved by the United States Coast Guard’s National Maritime Center and the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration Office of Marine Personnel under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (1978, as amended).
Most signatories of the STCW Convention accept training certificates approved by the United States Coast Guard’s National Maritime Center and the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration as they give “complete and full effect” to the STCW Convention, also known as the “STCW Whitelist.”
Upon completion of the online study materials, students will be able to complete their written exams online using our HALO° exam monitoring application and will complete their Radar Plotting Exam online by scheduling with one of our instructors remotely.
