General Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Meet the requirements of RFPNW (6 months or pre-sea training + 2 months sea time)
- Sea Time – 18 months while qualified as RFPNW or 12 months with approved training
Application Requirements
- Completed Dominica Application for Certificate of Competence and Physical Examination Report
- Submit copy of passport with application
- Submit Sea Service Letters or copies of discharge papers
- Include all copies of held licenses, Certificates of Competence, training certificates, completed assessments and training record book

- Basic & Advanced Firefighting
- First Aid & CPR
- Maritime Security Awareness
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
- Personal Survival Techniques
- Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats
- Proficiency in Survival Craft
